To Mr/Ms Agent:

Age of Heroes: Before The Legend is a completed fantasy novel of approximately 90,000 words that takes place in the worlds of Tanisia and Umil at the ending of the Age of Gods Among Men and sets the stage of the oncoming Age Of Heroes. It is a standalone book intended for teens and adults.

Ravaged by war, enslaved by Kings and playground to Malach, The God of Death, and his dark Cleric the people of Umil have lost their greatest chance at freedom when the wizard Beltaire captures Arcadia Covada. But there is another Celestial entering the playing field, the Goddess Thrones, and she has placed her allegiance opposite Malach and unleashed an ancient power into the material plane. Known as The Phoenix it comes from the Age of Chaos and was imprisoned long ago by the Celestials. The only catch, The Phoenix needs a vessel and Arcadia, desperate to win the war, eagerly accepts Thrones offer to contain the chaotic power within her, now all she needs to do is learn how to awaken it.

Syvan, Arcadia’s elder brother, has spent five long years scouring the lands of Tanisia in search of his youngest sister when a little manipulation from Thrones sends him to The Northern Isle, a portal to the celestial realm. There he encounters Beltaire and Arcadia. Rescuing her he thinks his life is about to return to normal but as soon as he brings her home she is gone again. Refusing to lose her he chases the only clue she left him as it takes him to the ends of his world and beyond, across the diamond seas to the hidden land of Umil.

Unbeknowst to all the Gods another power enters the world through its own vessel. Another creature banished by the Celestials to the seventh level of the Abyss, The Dragon, finds an unwilling vessel in Syvan himself. Without the chain of a Celestial keeping him contained The Dragon begins to gain power, forcing Arcadia to not only do battle with Malach and his armies but to also discover a way to save her brother before she is forced to kill him.

Main Characters:

Syvan Covada: A wanderer and adventurer Syvan has spent his life exploring, taking whatever work will take him farthest from wherever he is. Life was never about much more than finding out what lay over the next horizon. All that changes when his youngest sister disappears without a trace. After five long years of searching he finds his sister only to watch her run away again, leaving him no choice but to follow her into unknown lands amidst powerful enemies. The Gods are returning, battle is brewing and if Syvan is not careful he will soon find himself a pawn amongst their games.

Arcadia Covada: The youngest daughter she lived her youth carefree and adventurous. Looking up to her older brother Syvan she followed him around, stirring up trouble and seeking new challenges. But that was five years ago and this is now. To survive a world where the strong prey on the weak and The Gods prey on all Arcadia has been forced to adapt and survive. Where once she was a brandished sword she has now become a hidden blade.
