A tale of mermaids and dragons old
A story, a legend, a horde of gold
There once was a man who sailed the seas
A young sailor lad, as free as the breeze
And he sailed and travelled to lands afar
When a storm arose and washed him a shore
Twas a mermaids kiss that saved his life
A mermaid so lovely he made her his wife
But so jealous a dragon, in human form
He gave her a rose with magical thorns
One prick of her finger was all it took
She became his with only a look
Like a secret he kept her locked away
Along with his treasures in a hidden cave
The spell it slowly came undone
Her memories returned, she tried to run
The poor maiden so fair, she could not escape
Through strength and courage she refused her fate
